About Us
Nana Cat's Soy Candles is an individually owned company based
in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
At Nana Cat's Soy Candles, we care about our customers!
Our company was started in January 2006
with one pot and one small bag of soywax and we are growing
by the day. We specialize in hand poured soy wax container
candles and hand poured votives. Each candle is crafted
to your specification. We can do your choice of colors and
fragrances. We have glass covered jar candles, covered
candle tins, hand poured votives, tea lights and tarts currently
available in a wide range of scents. We will ship throughout the continental
USA. Our wax can be used in your recycled containers
to help cut down on waste. Our soy wax helps support the American
Farmer. Join us in our quest to rid the world of toxic candles.
Since Tom and I work in the healthcare industry, we believe in our product being healthy and all natural for your family. We have no control over the cost of shipping but we do not charge a handling fee for packaging your products. Over the past four years the cost of materials such as soy wax has fluctuated over 50% higher than when we started this company and we have never raised our prices. We realize that candle purchases are a luxury not a necessity so we try to keep the prices locked to encourage our buyers to come back to us.
Owner, Leslie Mehalek

I am a wife, mom of 5, full time dental assistant and candlemaker. I enjoy the hobby of making the soy candles as it helps me to spend time with my family (the kids love helping me) and to have some extra spending money to enjoy life.
I have had candle making parties, met great people and been able to see how some really easy steps can lead to some beautiful creations.

The possibilities are endless with this little business. I especially like how healthy the candles are for my family as there is no soot produced from them.
I also appreciate that using soy is good for the American farmer and the American economy. I donate enough to the petroleum industry every time I fuel up my car, they don't need my money for candle purchases too.
"How did you come up with your company name?"
Every time Tom and I do a craft show we get to meet a lot of nice folks who stop by to sniff our candles and chat with us. Without fail, we are asked at every show where our name came from. Well, here is the answer, Nana Cat is what our kids call my mom !! Here is a picture of the real "Nana Cat" with my dad "Grandpa Jim" and our daughter. Mystery solved!!
